Price alerts

Gold price alerts by call and email

Set a gold price alert and VMTradeAlert calls your verified mobile number and emails you when the price comes within your chosen distance of your level. Gold alerts are checked about once per second.

What a gold alert does

Phone call

A voice call to your verified mobile number. It reads out the name, your target, the current price and your note.

Email

An email is sent for every alert, whether or not the call connects.

Telegram

On a paid plan with Telegram linked and price alerts turned on, you also get a Telegram message.

Price source and check speed

  • Gold prices are read from the gold-api.com feed, in US dollars.
  • Gold alerts are checked about once per second. The check waits one second after the previous one finishes.
  • Crypto alerts are checked about every 30 seconds, because their price source limits request rates.
  • If the feed cannot be reached, that check is skipped and the next one tries again.
  • Each alert fires once.

Prices can differ between providers, and between a feed and your broker. Treat an alert as a prompt to look at your own chart. See the risk disclaimer.

How to set a gold alert

  1. Create an account

Sign up with your email. Login uses a one-time code sent to that email.

  2. Verify your mobile

Add and verify your mobile number on your profile. Calls only go to a verified number.

  3. Choose gold in Select Coin

Open Create Alert and pick Gold or Silver from the coin list.

  4. Enter price, threshold and note

Enter your target in USD, the nearby threshold, and a required note that is read out in the call.

  5. Publish

Publish to arm the alert, or save a draft first. Published alerts count against your plan limit.

Gold and silver sit in the same Create Alert coin list as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. Crypto alerts work the same way, see crypto price alerts.

Alerts only, not gold signals

Gold and silver order flow signals are not offered to regular accounts. For gold you get price alerts. For buyer and seller pressure on Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, see order flow signals.

Alerts count against the same limit as crypto alerts. An account without an active plan can hold 3 alerts. Drafts only count once published. The pricing page lists current plans. To get alerts in chat, read about Telegram.
